Timothy J. Mayopoulos (born March 7, 1959) is an American businessman and lawyer who was the president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Fannie Mae from 2016 to 2019.[2][3] Following the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank in March 2023, he was appointed by the FDIC as CEO of its successor, Silicon Valley Bridge Bank, N.A.[4][5] Mayopoulos was announced as president and member of the board of directors at Blend in 2019.[6]
During his career, he was the general counsel of Bank of America and also worked at Deutsche Bank, Credit Suisse First Boston and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.
