Troy Engseth Nyhammer (born 19 August 2006) is a Norwegian footballer who plays as a midfielder for FK Haugesund.
Hailing from Bømlo, Nyhammer played youth football in Bremnes IL before joining FK Haugesund after the 2020 season. In 2021 he made his debut as a Norway youth international, and was also secured by FK Haugesund by signing a "professional contract".[1][2]
In November 2022, FK Haugesund decided to draft Nyhammer into the first team, effective from 2023.[3] He made his first-team debut in a friendly match against Wolfsberger AC in Marbella in January 2023.[4] Nyhammer then made his league debut as a substitute in May 2023 against Tromsø. As Haugesund lost, the regional newspaper described Nyhammer as "the only highlight" for the club.[5]
His first Eliteserien start came in March 2024. He went on to start the majority of FKH's games in the 2024 Eliteserien.[6] His first Eliteserien goal came in August 2024 against Fredrikstad, which was also the only goal of the game, clinching an important victory for Haugesund who were threatened with relegation.[7][8][9] That summer, FK Haugesund refused to release Enghammer to represent Norway in the 2024 UEFA European Under-19 Championship.[10]
