Unit 999 (Arabic: الوحدة 999 قتال), also known as Task Force 999, is a tier two special operation force in the Egyptian Army, falling under the El-Sa'ka Forces.[1] It is capable of conducting air and land operations, that specializes in commando style raids, counterterrorism, hostage rescue, irregular warfare, operating in difficult to access terrains, special warfare operation in behind enemy lines, special reconnaissance, and tracking targets. They are most often used for special reconnaissance missions to gathering intelligence.
