The urinary meatus[a] (/mˈtəs/, mee-AY-təs; pl.: meatus or meatuses), also known as the external urethral orifice, is the opening of the urethra where urine exits the penis or vulva during urination. It is where semen exits the penis during ejaculation. The meatus has varying degrees of sensitivity to touch.
