My name is Ady, I am an acoustic singer/songwriter, I have been for almost fifteen years, Recently finishing a demo, gigging, trying to raise my profile.

My music has been described as a .....compelling acoustic journey. My vocals are often described as....powerful, raw, emotive. You could find a hint of Dylan, Neil young, Damien Rice but basically I sound like me

BIOs

Ady was born at Scampton RAF base in Lincolnshire in the early 70's, but most of his childhood was centred in Devon, and his earliest memories are of Buckfastleigh. A beautiful part of the country, idyllic in concept, for Ady's childhood consisted of exploring, climbing tall oaks and building dens, amongst many things (luxuries those of us from city backgrounds can only dream of) and laying the foundations for the man he would become. But his youth wasn't as idyllic as the setting for it, and by 15 Ady was exploring again, only this time on a permanent basis, sleeping rough and finding shelter where he could.

His late teens and early twenties consisted of a lot of travelling. It was during this period that Ady began playing the guitar and singing, busking his way around Europe, hitching/walking his way to Africa, living in everything from tents to old pigeon houses in the south of France, and the caves of Granada, before returning home to England to stay. Where, after a few dark years, Ady's attention really turned to his music and he began not only playing and performing but also writing, though still more for his own sense of self than for others. It was this, and more, that encouraged an onlooker one day to offer Ady his first helping hand with his music (by way of a loan for P.A. equipment). And it was that first show of faith that also gave Ady the belief he had something worth sharing, which brings us to where we are today. The lead singer of Thornhill
