Personal background |

My hometown until 1996 was Slidell, Louisiana, which was subjected to the wrath of Hurricane Katrina after I left. As a kid I played soccer and later worked as a Grade 8 USSF referee. I was also active in the Boy Scouts of America and my local church. I worked at Salmen Scout Reservation as a Shooting Sports Assistant in 1996 and as Assistant Archery Director in 1997. In 1996, I moved to Hoover, Alabama where I attended Hoover High School. In 1999, I went to Auburn, Alabama to start my college education. I went to law school in Boston, Massachusetts, and over the four years I lived there I resided in Allston, then Central Square in Cambridge, and finally in the Maverick Square neighborhood of East Boston. Since January 2011, I have lived with my wife in Lincoln, Nebraska. We have three kids. I have been admitted to practice law in Massachusetts, Nebraska, and the United States District Court for the District of Nebraska. My practice areas include firearms law, criminal defense, and trusts and estates. |
