Health Benefits Package
A package of health benefits contains a set of health services (so-called benefits) offered by a health insurance plan.
When the health insurance plan is public--financed with public resources and often administered by the government--oftentime its benefits are defined by law, either in the Constitution of the country or by a law specifically formulated for that purpose.
A private health insurance plan guarantees a package of benefits as defined by the private health insurer offering it-- typically a for-profit company--as prescribed by industry and government regulations, though not necessarily.
