The Crimson Shadow series is a set of three books written in 1995-1996 by fantasy author R. A. Salvatore. They detail the Eriadorian revolution for independence, and later the war with Avon to retain said independence. The series focuses primarly upon Luthien Bedwyr, son of the Eorl of Bedwydrin, and his role in leading the revolution with the help of Oliver deBurrows, Brind'Amour, and a few others for freedom against the oppressive Wizard-King Greensparrow of Avon and his cyclopian allies.
