The fluoropnictides are mixed anion compounds that contain both fluoride and phosphide, arsenide, antimonide or bismuthide anions (F− and N3−, P3−, As3− Sb3−, Bi3−).
Many of these are semiconductors. Those that contain iron may be ferromagnetic. Research into these compounds is motivated by the existence of the structurally simlar oxyarsenide superconductors.
