WYN-FM new article content ...
88.9 WYN FM was established in 1995 as community radio station to serve the City of Wyndham and surrounding areas. The concept was to provide the listeners with an alternative to main stream radio, which was perceived as not meeting the needs of the community.
WYN-FM obtained its permanent broadcasting licence in July 2001.
WYN-FM is entirely a volunteer based project operated on behalf of and for the community. Our goals are to encourage the participation of the community, in programming and production of programs covering a host of issues relevant to all sections of the Wyndham community.
The studios of WYN-FM are located on the Victoria University Werribee Campus in the City of Wyndham.
WYN-FM is committed to establishing itself as a quality radio broadcaster presenting a range of programs that meets the changing needs of the local community.
