Holly Newman is the Chief Executive Officer of Liquid Entertainment–an award winning independent game developer founded in 1999 and based in Pasadena, CA.[1]
Holly’s career in videogames began at Acclaim Entertainment as Director of Marketing Communications, she was a key player in the launch of some of the industry’s top selling games in history, including Mortal Kombat, NBA Jam, The Simpsons, Spider-Man, Batman and dozens of others.
After her tenure at Acclaim Entertainment she was Vice President of Marketing at GT Interactive and oversaw the launch and marketing strategies for titles such as: Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee, The Unreal Series and Duke Nukem.[2] During her time as Executive Vice President at Crave Entertainment, Holly oversaw the release of Earthworm Jim and Soldier of Fortune among numerous other successful titles. As CEO, Liquid Entertainment has since released multiple next-gen console titles and also mobile, social and casual games to critical success in its 12+ years in business. These titles include intellectual properties of The Lord of the Rings, ABC's Desperate Housewives, Marvel's Thor and the Dungeons and Dragons series.[5]
