JRP is the initials of one Joe Pranevich of Watertown, Massachusetts.
By day, I'm a development and operations manager for Lycos and Ybrant Digital. By night, I'm a freelance writer who has done a decent amount of (paid and unpaid) writing about Linux, especially the Linux kernel, the Bible, as well as other topics. I have a number of interests, some of which I indulge on Wikipedia. I enjoy researching film history, politics, and history. I also know too much about anime and manga (especially work by Akira Toriyama), computer lore, animation in general but especially The Lion King, Star Trek, and many other things.
One fun way which I have found to work on Wikipedia is to create lists and succession boxes then trying to fill in the red links. Articles I have found to research in this way include the Governors of Puerto Rico, lists of ambassadors, and some early academy awards lists. Most recently, I have enjoyed researching the 17th century history of Massachusetts.

This page used to contain a list of all of the articles that I started or contributed a significant amount to, but that format long-since has ceased its usefulness. Instead, here's a short list of articles which I have worked through FA or GA processes.
