At some point, I may dress this page up like most other user pages, but it's extremely low on my priority list.
I doubt there will ever be Userboxes here - prose is a more fitting means of explaining who I am and what I do. That being said, here's the summary of principles I adhere to while editing here (and in most other aspects of my life):
- 1) Without exception, retaining rational objectivity is my top priority. I go to great lengths to remain thoroughly indifferent on any subject and limit my emotional investment to the betterment of the project as a whole.
- 2) I am methodical in my analysis and meticulous with my edits. Moreso when commenting in a contentious matter.
- 3) Short of offering third opinions or reviews, you will not see me dwell on a specific article or subject for very long.
- 4) My interests encompass everything. If it's a person, place, thing, or idea, I'm interested.
- 5) With a couple of exceptions (ie. talk page comments), I consider edit summaries to be just as important as edits themselves.
- 6) I don't watch pages. I add, edit, or comment and move on (see #3 above) - unless it's something enormously significant to the project, I rarely return (short of a special request).
- 7) I often comment on potential issues an article may have - not to enter into discussion, but to bring them to the attention of interested editors. Even the shortest posts I make to talk pages adhere to #2 (see above).
- 8) I firmly believe the manipulation of articles by agenda-driven editors is the single greatest threat to the knowledge offered here.
In keeping with #3, I'm moving on to other things. Anyone is welcome to add, edit, adjust, slander, or remove anything from this page.
