John Best (Racehorse Trainer)

John Best (born 11 January 1962) trains thoroughbred racehorses in the village of Hucking, Kent, England. He started training Point to Point and Hunter Chasers in 1997 and won his first race as a professional in May of that year with a horse called Hever Golf Diamond. In 1999 he was granted a flat racing licence and his first winner was a horse called Santiburi Girl. In 2004 he recorded his first century of winners and was named as Timeform's leading up and coming UK trainer. He is most well known for training the sprinter Group 1 winner Kingsgate Native in 2007 and Stone of Folca in 2011 who was the fastest horse in history since electronic timing began.
