The Chain Gang of 1974 (band) The Chain Gang of 1974 is a psychedelic/punk/experimental band based out of Denver Colorado. The Chain Gang consists of one member Kamtin Mohager who was a previous member of "The Vanity" where he played bass before this band disbanded. Despite TCGO1974 being a one man band he is often joined by other musicians for his live shows. TCGO1974 had its first show on February 22nd, 2007. Since their first show TCGO1974 has been a dominate force in the local Denver scene and recently is gaining national and even worldwide support with multiple shows with 3OH!3 and a recent stint on The White Tie Affair's tour. TCGO1974 currently has five music videos, ones for: "Let's Make it Tonight", "The Bloody Beetroots Vs The Chaingang of 1974 (Christophe Eagleton Mix)", "DANCEKISSLOVEMOVE", "This Teenage Love Sound" and "We At The Disco". Currently TCGO1974 has no physical LP's released; they do have a digital album that is free and consists of 10 tracks, this album is called "GUERILLA". Furthermore Kamtin plans to release another free digital LP on December 25th, 2009 called "FANTASTIC NOSTALGIA". This is all leading up to the anticipated release of "MAD PARANOID" in early 10'. It must be mentioned though that TCGO1974 does have three EP's titled: "MAD MIXTAPE!!!", "The Dirt" and "When The Apple Drops" but all of these titles are discontinued. TCGO1974's continued rise in popularity has been added by a recent stint on The White Tie Affair's tour, and by Kamtin playing numerous shows with 3OH!3 as their live bass player; at these shows 3OH!3 always mentions Kamtin's band "The Chain Gang of 1974". These shows included every date on the Warped tour '09. This along with playing shows all over Colorado whenever back home has lead to a continuous rise in fame.
