An oscillating shot is a type of wave train with an oscillatory component bounded by an exponential decay term. Oscillating shots have a non-zero (usually positive) time integral.[1] An example of an oscillating shot would be the function describing the motion of a damped harmonic oscillator following an initial displacement.
