I got really into Wikipedia when I was in college from 2005—2009, then got a job and became a lurker for 14 years. And then I got harassed online in 2022—2023, defended myself in the moment using my knowledge of Wikipedia policy & procedures, and decided to come back to chop wood and carry water to say thanks for the extra administrator & oversighter cleanup work necessitated by the harassment campaign targeting me.
My interests are: topics relating to transgender people, rewriting ledes to be more clear, cleaning up or AfDing puff pieces written by connected contributors (because if I play by the rules and avoid WP:COI, everyone else should too), and smashing the random article button to find broken templates/syntax.
I no longer need to have an interest in broader anti-vandalism (aside from on specific pages that I'm watching) now that ClueBot NG exists to patrol recent changes.
