Electrolux 500 ...
The Electrolux 500 range of vacuum cleaners was produced by the Lux in the UK branded as Electrolux during the 1970's and 1980's. The upright range was notable for it's solid, modern, plastic body available in various colours throughout it's life. It's main competitor was the Hoover Junior range but was seen as more refined and advanced than the somewhat ageing Hoover model that had changed little since the 1950's. Both reliable and durable, aspects of the design principles live on in modern upright machines today, such as removable and washable filters and variable suction.
