Strathroy Royals
The Strathroy Royals are a senior mens baseball team that compete in the Southwest Senior Baseball League in Ontario, Canada. They captured the league title in both 2007 and 2008. In 2008 the Royals also enjoyed great success at the Ontario Elimination tournament in Windsor posting a 4-2 record and coming just one victory shy of qualifying for the Canadian Senior Championship tournament. The Royals draw their players from Strathroy, London, Wyoming, Petrolia and other near by towns. Over their six years of existence the Royals have had several former professional players including shortstop Jason Helps (Jupiter Hammerheads (Florida Marlins A affiliate)) and left handed pitcher Kenny Williams (Toledo Mud Hens, London Tigers).
