Hello to all at Wikipedia, I live in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. I joined Mar. 25, 2005. My interests include history, reading and, especially, British television and films. In 1978 I saw Vincent Price in the one man play Diversions and Delights, written by John Gay. It was set in a Parisian theater and Price played an aging Oscar Wilde relating memories of his life and works. The performance was extraordinary and started a life long interest in Wilde. The last decade has seen an outpouring of interest in, and publications about, Oscar and the people in his life. I have read most of it. I have, also, done a fair amount of research about his visit to Leadville, Colorado, and been privileged to stand on the very stage where he spoke to the citizens of that mining boom town in 1882. |
