Mod-Folk Art ... Mod-Folk Art is a term coined to describe the array of arts and crafts that may use traditional materials and methods in ways that are updated to reflect a more current sensibility. While examples of this type of creative output may draw some parallels to what's called "Art Brut", "Outsider Art", or "Raw" art and "Naive" art, it is distinguished by not requiring the practitioners of it to have no formal training in aspects of art and/or craft.
