Green Men are two very noticeable Vancouver Canucks fans which go by the moniker "Force and Sully". Clad in skin tight green nylon suits, the duo begin to mock and jeer any opposing players unlucky enough to enter the penalty box. The Green men made their first appearance on December 22, 2009 against the Nashville Predators. While Dave Scatchard was in the penalty box for interference, the duo began to mock the former Canuck by flailing their arms, pretending to scale the glass, and by mimicking crying all to the delight of the sold-out crowd at GM Place. After it was re shown on the jumbo screen, as well as on live national television, Scatchard would throw his towel over the video camera in embarrassment. The Canucks would score on the power play and eventually win the game 4-1. They would repeat their antics during the next game against the Edmonton Oilers which also resulted in a win. Interestingly enough, Fin the Official mascot of the Vancouver Canucks, even shot water at the duo, perhaps feeling threatened by their popularity.
Youtube videos of the Green Men would go viral and reach over 300,000 hits in only 26 days. They also have exploded to over 13,000 fans on their official facebook fan page.
