The Mendocino Coast Health Care District is a California health care district in coastal Mendocino County. It operates Mendocino Coast District Hospital in Fort Bragg (opened 1971) and North Coast Family Health Center (opened 2009).
Covering 800 square miles (2,100 km2), Palomar Health is the largest health care district by area.[2][3] The district was formed in 1984, replacing the Escondido Valley Hospital Association which itself was formed in 1945.[4]
The hospital is one of three operated by the state's largest public hospital district, Palomar Health.
The 800-square-mile hospital district is the largest in California.
