Welcome to the userpage of Steven Fruitsmaak!...although that is not my real name, just a copyrighted internet pseudonym. I first edited Wikipedia in April 2005 while studying medicine at the University of Leuven, Belgium. I partially shifted my attention from Wikipedia to Wikinews after I met the friendly Wikinews community and decided that it could use more improvement than Wikipedia. I became an admin on Wikinews on October 17, 2006 and an accredited reporter on March 4, 2007. I became an admin on Wikipedia on July 26, 2008 but am no longer active as an administrator. I graduated as a medical doctor in 2009 and started training as a specialist in internal medicine and geriatrics. I started a PhD in Biomedical Sciences (working in molecular endocrinology) in 2011 and obtained my PhD in September 2017. Later I joined as an Editorial Board member of WikiJournal of Medicine. Currently I work as a geriatrician at and a consultant in Metabolic Bone Diseases and Rare metabolic bone diseases at University Hospitals Leuven, Belgium. You can check out my Publons profile. If you need me, you can e-mail me and I'll be glad to help out. You can find out some of my skills in my userboxes. Finally, my motto is: Non scholae, sed vitae discimus. Enjoy Wikipedia!
