My name is Paul Tambuyser (Antwerp, 1950) and I have been fascinated by minerals since my early childhood. After earning my degree in chemical engineering I specialized in crystallography, x-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy. I also studied gemology at GIA and got my FGA degree.
Within mineralogy my main interests are in the growth and morphology of Alpine quartz crystals and in the history of mineralogy and crystallography.
