Denneoord (Afrikaans for 'Place of Pines') is a suburb in George, South Africa consisting mostly of residential development. It is one of the larger suburbs in George, located between Fernridge, Bo-Dorp and Twee Rivieren. Denneoord was historically used as land for agriculture and pine plantations and when George underwent rapid urbanization in the 1900's, it was developed into land for housing for labourers who worked in the nearby timber industry.
