Jessie Levy Jessie Levy (1898- ) was an Indianpolis attorney, noted for being the youngest woman admitted to practice in Indiana, as well as serving as counsel for Harry Pierpont, member of the John Dillinger gang.
Jessie was born July 6, 1898 in Seiny, Russia. She immigrated to the United States at age 6, and settled with her family in South Bend, Indiana.
Jessie was admitted to practice on May 26, 1921, becoming the youngest woman admitted to practice in the State of Indiana.
Jessie served from 1929 to 1933 as the first librarian of the law library of the Indiana Supreme Court.
