Released into public domain
I agree to release my text and image contributions, unless otherwise stated, into the public domain. Please be aware that other contributors might not do the same, so if you want to use my contributions under public domain terms, please check the multi-licensing guide.

Why do I release my contributions into the public domain? First of all, I don't want to cause trouble to people who want to re-use it, for whatever reason – the JPL Image Policy is an example of even a benign license that can cause much trouble. Secondly I think that we humans could have only achieved what we have today through the re-use of the ideas and resources created by other humans – my contributions may be humble, but even the Solar System was formed from dust particles. (If you want to use this banner yourself, go see Wikipedia:Userboxes/Large/Licensing for details.)

This user may start things on Wikipedia, but will sometimes simply walk away from them – without giving an explanation.

The reasons for this are in small part inherent to Wikpedia; but in large part the reasons lie outside of Wikipedia. This user may consequently not respond to talk page messages or e-mails in a timely manner, or at all – your understanding would be greatly appreciated.

If you like something this user started, and if want this user to continue it, you are kindly invited to drop a short line on the user's talk page and remind the user. The user may however not be able to honor your request.

Furthermore this user must report that the user is sadly not interested in "social networking" (here or elsewhere), and that while the user will gladly exchange a few words with you, usually the user will stay away from major interactions with other users – so don't take it personally if this user leaves you alone. The user is just here to edit, if the user finds something to improve; which is too often the case… Alas, my cup, overflowth it does…

Thank you for your consideration.
