Luke Kennedy Luke is a stage performer and renound singer who started his stage career at age 16. Originally from Townsville, Luke performed with the Townsville Choral Society and in various productions with NQOMT, including The Sound of Music, the King and I, My Fair Lady, Victor Victoria, Jesus Christ Superstar (as Jesus), Les Miserables (as Marius), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (as Judah) and Chicago. Townsville City Council named him Performer of the Year in 2001.
In 2002, Luke moved to Brisbane, reprising his role as Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar with Harvest Rain Theatre Company. He stayed on to perform in their productions of The Wiz (2004), Disney's Beauty and the Beast (2006) Children of Eden (2007), Best of Broadway and Beyond (2007) and Alice (2007). While in Brisbane, he performed in both the 2006 and 2007 Carols in the City events.
In 2008, Luke joined the Ten Tenors and spent two years touring around the world.
In May 2010, he returned to Brisbane and performed in Songs for a New World at the Judith Wright Centre and in August reprised his role as Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar as part of Harvest Rain's 25th celebrations. He also released his debut album, Overexposed late July 2010.
