Local Travel is about being more mindful when your travel.
Traditionally people travelled 'locally' because there was no other way, but since the advent of corporate travel agencies and packaged holidays, tourists have lost much of the original contact with the host community
The internet allows for travellers to reconnect with the grass roots in a variety of ways and there are a number of writers and organisations promoting this trend.
HOW TO TRAVEL LOCALLY
By becoming more aware of the impact that travel choices have on local communities, visitors can gain more from a trip and benefit the local community too. It’s a better deal for everyone.
