Sainik School Tilaiya is a premiere boarding school for boys in india, one of the 24 sainik schools which are run by the ministry of defence, government of india.^[1]The primary aim of Sainik School is to prepare boys academically, physically and mentally for entry into the Defence Services and those who do not make the grade, for responsible positions in the various other walks of life.
It is located at the foothills of tilaiya dam in koderma district of jharkhand, 18 kms from koderma railway station.
