Josiah A. Scarritt was a Methodist circuit rider.

Scarritt was received on trial as a circuit rider in 1816. He was assigned to the Sandwich Circuit, in the New Hampshire district. The following year, he was appointed to the Stanstead circuit in Lower Canada.[1] In 1818, he was assigned to the Danville circuit, in Vermont. in 1819, he was assigned to the Craftsburg circuit in 1820, the same year he received Elder's orders. In 1820, he was assigned to the Portsmouth circuit. In 1821, he was assigned to the Landaff circuit. In 1822, he was assigned to the Wetherfield circuit. In 1823, he was located in Portland.[2]
