Emil Hatschek was a Hungarian born physical chemist (1868-1943‏) known for his work in colloidal science.[1] He worked at the Sir John Cass Technical Institute in London.

He corrected the constant K in Albert Einstein's 1906 formula based on his own experimental evidence [2] At the Faraday Society, founded in 1903, Hatschek presented a paper[3] and chaired the discussion meeting.

On March 12, 1913 he presented another paper on Colloids and Their Viscosity which pointed towards polymer science.[4]
