My status will indicate how quickly I will respond to messages left on my talk page. Please note that it is updated manually and may accidentally be left on one option incorrectly occasionally. The status options I use mean the following...
- Online: I am usually actively editing - I may be away from the computer from a few minutes to an hour or two on occasion. Normal message reply time: Instant to two hours.
- Around: I am editing Wikipedia in on and off doses and may be away from the computer for some time. Normal message reply time: Instant to 12 hours.
- Busy: I am engaged in one or more important tasks on a computer or within reach of one. I will probably receive messages quickly but a response is likely to be delayed unless it is an emergency. Normal message reply time: A few hours to 12 hours.
- Sleeping: I am offline specifically to sleep, and I should visit Wikipedia in the following UTC/GMT morning at some point. Normal message reply time: A few hours to 12 hours.
- Offline: I am away from Wikipedia doing a variety of "real life" activities, and this means that I will not be editing for at least a time period of a few hours, but sometimes this can be up to 48 hours. If a wikibreak notice is on my user and/or user talk pages I am away from Wikipedia for an extended period of time. I might pop in occasionally during the wikibreak, but I may not reply to messages until the wikibreak is over. Normal message reply time: A few hours to 48 hours (up to a few weeks if a wikibreak notice is displayed).
- Inactive: I am on and off Wikipedia editing sporadically due to "real life" activities, and this means that I will not be editing very often. Normal message reply time: Instant to two weeks.
