Hi there, I saw your post on User:Jenks24 talk page. He doesn't seem to be around that often any more (last edit was almost a month ago), so I have copied your request to Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2014 October 11, which is where articles that have been deleted by an WP:AFD process can be reviewed for undeletion, or remain deleted. I find the whole academic notability issue too confusing, so I avoid that area whenever I can. Thank you for disclosing your identity, but if the article is undeleted please ensure that you read WP:COI and WP:AUTOBIO to understand what is acceptable in terms of editing articles closely related to you. You may want to declare your COI on your User:SamJaneB page. Keep an eye on that Deletion Review page, you can add additional comments if you like, but read the WP:DRV and WP:NACADEMIC guidelines page too, to see under what conditions articles can be undeleted. If you have any questions, please reply here or at my talk page. Regards, The-Pope (talk) 16:54, 11 October 2014 (UTC)
Thanks. Very helpful.SamJaneB (talk) 12:59, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
Funny. Big rugby fan actually. [1] Anyway, looked over the criteria and I think I meet two. '6 The person has held a highest-level elected or appointed academic post at a major academic institution or major academic society.' I'm currently VP of the Canadian Philosophical Association, about to be President and '8. The person is or has been the head or chief editor of a major well-established academic journal in their subject area.' and I was an editor of the Canadian Journal of Philosophy and I'm founder and co-editor of Feminist Philosophy Quarterly.
Back to writing journal articles for the time being.
