User talk:ShelbyMarion

Forgive me departing a little from the Wiki guidelines - but when I see the names 'Shelby' and 'Marion' together, I think of two towns on a road leading Northwest from Gaston, North Carolina, and just wondered if you came from this exceptionally scenic part of the old South. Hi, Valetude. That's a good guess, but "Shelby" references a county in Tennessee where I was born (so you are half right about a Southern origin.) "Marion" references another county in a northern state where I spent much of my life. (Sorry for the delay answering this. I'm not a frequent user....and not even sure I'm doing this right where you will see this response!) ShelbyMarion (talk) 13:39, 31 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Shelby, Would you mind re-checking Page Nic Hard and see if the addition of discographies from Allmusic.com and Discogs.com are helpful information to aid in the keeping of this page? thnx — Preceding unsigned comment added by 104.162.193.13 (talk) 02:29, 5 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello ShelbyMarion, Thank you so much for your feedback on my Brandon Jenkins entry. Would you be so kind to see if you can change your "delete" vote to a "keep" vote now? https://en.wikipedia.orgview_html.php?sq=Facebook&lang=en&q=Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Brandon_Jenkins_(singer/songwriter) It would make me very happy. I've just read your User page and I totally agree on you with the "non notable artists" on Wikipedia. Please, be so kind to have a look at the Brandon Jenkins wiki page (up for deletion) again. I assure you that Brandon Jenkins is a full time artist. And very well-known (heck, I'm from France, and I even know him!). Yes. He's a Red Dirt / Texas country artist. Not a genre that often makes it to the national charts. So you might have never heard of him. But he has almost 17,000 FB followers, 6,500 listeners on Last.fm and almost 600,000 plays on Spotify of only his top 10 songs. And he's been on the Texas Music Chart a lot of times (not easy to verify how many times, sorry!). Like you can see here (a random chart click) https://web.archive.org/web/20080110121246/http://www.texasmusicchart.com/Pages/Chart.htm He's had 21,080 radio spins of his (rather unknown song) Call of the Road. Yes, I'm a new editor (and really NOT liking it so far). And don't know anything about rules and regulations. So if this what I'm typing here to you is illegal and such too, please, don't hesitate to tell me. I'm willing to learn and most happy to delete it again. Hi Shelby! I was also born in Shelby County... Bartlett to be exact. Small world! Anywho, can you please review my note on Louis Bell page? I found a recent, notable reference for the music producer who was featured in Variety's 2017 Hitmakers list.
