Thank you Graham 87 as you know I am webmaster for Dr. Paley and he trained under Gavriil Abramovich Ilizarov and was the one who brought these surgical procedures to the US and is founder of the Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction Society. The connection to Gavriil Abramovich Ilizarov is very very clear to anyone who is in the field.

I have changed the link to Dror Paley’s official website.. to http://www.limblengtheningdoc.org. the other site is going to be redirected.

Dr. Paley has added PDF files to his website… these average 20-50 pages long… These PDF file are named as they should be using the Orthopedic terms. All of these PDF files Ilizarov and the different types of external fixators… there are now a larger number of these.. Dr. Paley has developed many of these that are now is use today..

Dr. Paley has also done a number of video presentations that are also located on this website including Biology of Limb Lenthening Limb Lengthening Methods

There are multiple videos Dr. Paley has also done for a number of Orthopedic conditions where these methods are used the average length of each of these videos is anywhere from 30-60 minutes long…

As this website stands today in contains the largest amount of Limb Lengthening information in the world and Dr. Paley is continuing to add more PDF files and videos….

I would Greatly Appreciate the links that I add to Wiki not be removed.

Any questions please email me directly at [email protected] and I have already provided Dr. Paley’s direct email address as well.

Graham 87 again thank you for the assistance you have provided so far… I am just posting to insure as I add links to Wiki concerning these orthopedic subjects they are not removed…

Once Dr. Paley is finished with the website we are putting up and he has time, I am going to show him how to Wiki so he can directly update the information contained on these wiki pages… There is not a better person that could do this for Wiki…but this is going to take time… as both of our time is limited right now.

Sincerely

Please do not remove the link placed "Dr. Dror Paley information limb lengthening" located on http://en.wikipedia.orgview_html.php?sq=Facebook&lang=en&q=Distraction_osteogenesis

Dr. Paley authored Principles of Deformity Correction (Springer Verlag, 2002) an 800-page textbook and was the one who brought Ilizarov to the US. He is also referenced on this page.

I am Dr. Paley's webmaster and he knows his link has been added to wiki.

If you would like to email Dr. Paley directly his email address is dpaley@lengthening.us or you can email me at sz@lengthening.us

Sincerly Sarah Zielger

Hi Sarah, Since you're the webmaster, you shouldn't be adding links to the page per the conflict of interest guidelines. We're pretty strict about external links here - if a link is not directly related to the subject of the article, it shouldn't be in the external links section. I think the best solution in your case would be either to ask on the talk page of the article or ask for help from the medicine WikiProject in creating an article about Dror Paley. At first glance, he seems like he should have a full article here, but I'm not familiar with his line of work.
For the moment I've removed all the links. please stop adding them. Adding external links is one of the least helpful things you can do on Wikipedia; we much prefer well-written and well-referenced content. Of course, adding external links is one of the easiest tasks here, but that's the way things are.
I understand that your probably more comfortable with email than these talk pages, but I want to say this much, in public, for transparency reasons. I've reformatted the email addresses you've written, so they're less likely to be abused by spam bots that crawl Wikipedia. You can sign your name here with four tildes like this: "~~~~" Graham87 06:49, 26 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'll see about creating a Wikipedia article for him. It might be a short one, but, hopefully, enough to get the point across. Only on that article, an external link to his official website will be appropriate. Graham87 00:06, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I've created a pathetic little stub at Dror Paley. Wikipedia generally prefers secondary sources to primary ones like official websites. I had no idea where to start for this one, what the most vital info was, etc, so I cheated a bit and used the official website as a source. You gave me a couple of points which I tried to incorporate into the article. Any improvements/corrections to the article would be welcome. Now, the best thing to do is not to add links to his website, but to add cross-references to his article in relevant topics that are well-cited (see Wikipedia:Wikipedia:Reliable sources (medicine-related articles).
