Viktor Fyodorovich Basargin (Russian: Виктор Фёдорович Басаргин; born on 3 August 1957), is a Russian statesman, who is currently the head of the Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of Transport (Rostransnadzor) - Chief State Transport Inspector of the Russian Federation since 10 February 2017. He has the federal state civilian service rank of 1st class Active State Councillor of the Russian Federation.[2]
He had served as the 2nd Governor of Perm Krai from 2012 to 2017,[3] and had also served as the Minister of Regional Development from 2008 to 2012.
