It is owned by the Educational Media Foundation and broadcasts a contemporary worship music format known as "Air1". It serves the western side of the Greenville-Spartanburg radio market in Upstate South Carolina.
The station is licensed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to broadcast with an effective radiated power (ERP) of 6,000 watts. WLTE's transmitter is off Fire Tower Road in Piedmont.[2]
