Waconia (/wəˈkoʊnjə/ wə-KOHN-yə or /wəˈkoʊniə/ wə-KOH-nee-ə)[4] is a city in Carver County, Minnesota, United States. Waconia attracts visitors to nearby Lake Waconia, a lake locally renowned for its fishing and recreation opportunities.
