Wikipedia:Administrator elections/October 2024/Candidates

Welcome to the candidate sign-up page for the October 2024 administrator elections!

Administrators help keep Wikipedia running smoothly by performing administrative tasks that need restricted tools such as blocking editors, protecting pages, and deleting pages.

An administrator election process has been approved for one trial run. Editors interested in becoming administrators may use either this process, or the traditional Wikipedia:Requests for adminship process. Administrators chosen through either method will have the same technical abilities to perform administrative actions, and the same responsibility to use administrative privileges with care. If you feel you are ready to take on the role, we encourage you to add your name below.

The only requirement is that you be extended-confirmed on the English Wikipedia; however, the community's expectations of administrators are much higher. Prospective candidates are advised to familiarize themselves with these expectations. This includes reviewing successful and unsuccessful RFAs, reading the essay Wikipedia:Advice for RfA candidates, and possibly requesting a poll on their chances of passing.

Candidates are encouraged to find a nominator to support their candidacy, to increase their chances. However this is not required.

The call for candidates is now closed.
