The "BLP problem" refers to the broad issues and implications that surround biographies of living people and recently deceased people on Wikimedia-related projects. For the purposes of this essay, the "BLP problem" is defined as the presence of unsourced, poorly sourced, and contentious content in biographies of living people. While negative content and allegations are probably a bigger problem, any contentious content that is unsourced or poorly sourced in biographies is problematic.
