We're now a WikiProject! Find the most up-to-date information on our project page.
Women are underrepresented in Wikipedia, and women journalists are no exception. Women Do News wants to change that. We believe that when women’s achievements are recognized, publicized and championed, we can claim our rightful places as leaders in our field.
Getting women journalists onto Wikipedia starts with a nomination. Then volunteers dedicate a few hours to write or edit potential entries for submission. Currently, We've partnered with the Asian American Journalists Association, Journalists and Women Symposium, Wikimedia Foundation, Take the Lead and Arizona State University, among others, since we started. And the work is ongoing so join us!
