Hello and welcome to the September 2012 issue of the Bugle. This issue is brought to you by Nick-D (standing in for Ian Rose while he's traveling) and The ed17. This will be Ed's last edition, so that he can focus on the Signpost and other tasks. He plans to write an op-ed on the experience for next month's edition. Nick will fill his shoes from October onwards, partnering with Ian to continue bringing you the best project newsletter on Wikipedia.
As a reminder, all editors are very welcome to contribute material to the Bugle, and can do so via its newsroom.
The contest department has completed its 63rd round of competition last month. A total of 50 articles were submitted by nine editors. Sturmvogel 66 came first with 65 points from 12 entries, followed by Cuprum17 with 60 points from 11 entries. They receive the Chevrons and the Writer's Barnstar, respectively. Ian Rose, Arius1998, Zawed, PunkyNZ, The Bushranger, Parsecboy and Djmaschek also fielded entries. Please submit any articles you are working on for this month's contest now.
