Are you sure that the districts are out of date? If they are, I have a spreadsheet with a complete list of the municipalities in each of the 13 districts that I could wikify as needed. Alansohn02:03, 11 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
We need to completely rework the New Jersey page, which seems to be entirely disorganized and misprioritized, and has become a dump for anyone with any musical or acting connection to New Jersey. We should propbably break it up into a series of separate articles with concise paragraphs describing major topics within the subject. Alansohn19:23, 9 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Municipalities: Develop template (in the non-wiki meaning) of sections to be filled in for each municipality. I'd still love to reach out to local communities to help fill in a lot of the blanks, perhaps via the public schools.
Education and High Schools: Work on the List of high schools in New Jersey, which is not only incomplete, but of the schools listed, only a small fraction have any pages, let alone useful content. I suggest reaching out to the schools involved and having students prepare a history, with pictures, enrollment stats, etc., perhaps with a template as a starting point. It's painstaking, but we have to do something like that. We also need to link up the HS pages with the municipality the school is in, so that we have education sections for almost all municipalities. Even if they don't go to school in their own municipality A, there should be an item that says that children attend school system B., etc. We have a VfD going on for Garfield High School (New Jersey), which admittedly is not a great article, but we should make sure that the HS pages are both broad (we have most schools covered) and deep (that each page has meaningful content). Template:NJReportCard is currently under development (and appears to almost be ready to implement). It should be used (instruction on Template Talk:NJReportCard) in the "External links" (or similar) section articles, especially school and school district articles, to point to the NJ Dept of Edu's report cards. Unlike the older, static links, this will allow for easier managment (and updating) in the future. //MrD920:50, 15 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Now it is ready to implement into the External links section of the School articles- I fixed the problem with the testing for the fourth input. I'm listing it under the Templates section. AndyZ01:02, 28 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Municipality Names and County References: Audit references to township municipalities in County articles. Some townships are referred to with township in its name (e.g. Washington Township) and some are not (e.g. Wayne) but are still referred to with the Township name on the county page (e.g. Passaic County), and the Wayne, New Jersey page is a redirect to Wayne Township, New Jersey, for example. May need locals to clarify usage. Everyone should pick a county they are familiar with and audit the townships.
NJ Lists: Complete and create articles for the articles in the list of lists.
Articles to be created: A full list can be viewed here.
To add info boxes to articles that don't have them (mainly unincorporated places)
Several articles do not contain info box templates. Inserting them would help build the article and also provide a summary of what its about. Most of these articles are unincorporated areas throughout New Jersey.
