- October 1, 2000 - Jerry Lynn defeated Justin Credible for the ECW Heavyweight title.
- October 2, 2000 - Vince Russo vacated the WCW World Heavyweight Championship and Booker T defeated Jeff Jarrett to win it.
- October 3, 1999 - Vince Russo and Ed Ferrara leave the WWF for WCW
- October 5, 1997 - Brian Pillman died of arteriosclerotic heart disease aged 35.
- October 6, 1999 - Gorilla Monsoon died following a heart attack, aged 62.
- October 7, 1957 - Lou Thesz wrestled Rikidōzan to a one hour time limit draw in first ever NWA World Title match held in Japan.
- October 7, 2000 - Juventud Guerrera arrested following a drug induced rage in Australia and is fired by WCW
- October 8, 2001 - Steve Austin defeated Kurt Angle for the WWF Heavyweight Championship.
- October 9, 2002 - Syxx-Pac won a seven-man ladder match for the vacant NWA-TNA X Divsion Championship.
- October 12, 1992 - Bret Hart defeated Ric Flair for the WWF Heavyweight Championship.
