June 12: Independence day in Philipines should link to Araw ng Kalayaan, rather than to Independence Day, which lists all independence days for all countries. Quacks Like a Duck 15:04, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, it should be Independence Day (Philippines). --Howard the Duck 12:29, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In the aftermath of the bombing of Yugoslavia and the Kosovo War, the NATO-led Kosovo Force entered Kosovo with a mandate of establishing a secure environment for the recently self-proclaimed, independent and partially recognized country.

This is nonsense of the highest order. Kosovo is not an independent country, and even if it were, it surely was not in 1999, and even if Kosovo were an independent country in 1999, KFOR didn't have a mandate to establish a secure environment for it.

KFOR's mandate was defined in the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244. I suggest the following, highly neutral, wording:

In the aftermath of the bombing of Yugoslavia and the Kosovo War, the NATO-led Kosovo Force entered Kosovo with a mandate of implementing the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244.
