William Winter (July 15, 1836 – June 30, 1917) was an American dramatic critic and author, born in Gloucester, Massachusetts who had graduated from Harvard Law School in 1857. In 1958, winter would move to New York City to peruse a carter as a writer where he would stay for the remainder of his life.[1] During his time in New York, winter would work as a sub-editor for newspapers such as the Saturday Press,[2] or as a drama critic of the New York Tribune.[3]
