Fred Ward (30 January 1895 – 10 September 1953), commonly known as Yaffa[5] or Yaffer Ward,[1][6] was an English professional footballer who made 245 appearances in the Football League playing for Lincoln City (in three separate spells), Wigan Borough and Rochdale.[7] He played primarily at left back.
