Zara Si Zindagi (transl. A Slice of Life) is a 1983 Indian Hindi-language film directed by K. Balachander, starring Kamal Haasan, Anita Raj, Nilu Phule, Mazhar Khan, Shreeram Lagoo, Karan Razdan.[1][2][3][4][5]

It is the remake of the Tamil film Varumayin Niram Sivappu (1980), which was simultaneously shot in Telugu as Aakali Rajyam (1981), directed by Balachander himself. Zara Si Zindagi's story was written by Balachander, while the dialogues were written by Gulzar.
